Frequently Asked Questions

We’re sure the first question you are going to have is, “How do you pronounce Choubox?” Well, it’s actually very simple… Chou is pronounced just like "shoe" and you tack "box" on the end. The company name also incorporates the owner's nickname.

The questions below are ones that we have received from our customers or we thought you might have. If you can't find the answer to your question here, please feel free to send us a message using the form at the bottom of the page.

Question #1: I've never made a scrapbook before, but would like to make one for my Mom for Christmas. Can you help me?

Absolutely! Whether it's your first scrapbook and you need help getting started, or you've have been scrapping for 20 years and need some ideas of a particular topic, I am always more than willing to help.

If you don't find what you need on one of my pages, just drop me a line and I'll create an outline of ideas for you to use on your project.

In fact, my family recipe scrapbook, breast cancer scrapbook and "How Do I Scrap That?" pages are all the result of fellow scrappers' questions.

Question #2: Are your scrapbook layout kits created with acid-free products?

Yes, Choubox only uses premium, acid-free cardstock, patterned paper, embellishments and adhesives. It is also highly recommended that you only use high quality pens for journaling, like those from ZIG and Sakura (no ball point pens allowed).

Question #3: Why are some layout kits, that appear very simple, more expensive than others?

While the design of some of our layout kits is very simple, the components that are used to create the layout kits vary in price. For example, the more paper (especially patterned paper) that is used, the more expensive the overall kit will be. The same applies if a lot of embellishments (ribbon, stickers, tokens, etc.) are used.

When compared to what it would cost you to buy all of the necessary components in your local craft store, and the time to create the layout yourself, we feel that our prices are very fair.
